INSAT 4A
 
  • India is among six countries that launch satellites and do so even for Germany, Belgium, South Korea, Singapore and EU countries.


  • India's INSAT is among the world's largest domestic satellite communication systems.


  • Designed, built and integrated by ISRO, INSAT 4A and INSAT 4B are dedicated to telecommunications, with 12 Ku band and 12 C-band transponders each. INSAT 4A and INSAT 4B satellites will each weigh about 3,200 kg at liftoff.
